The Grand Prairie AirHogs fell in the rubber game of the series with the Laredo Lemurs Wednesday, losing by a score of 6-0.
Jason Jarvis worked seven innings as the ‘Hogs starter, allowing four runs on seven hits, with two walks and two strikeouts. However, Laredo starter Jeremy Strawn won the night, with his second complete-game shutout against the AirHogs this year. Strawn allowed just four hits and one walk, nabbed nine strikeouts and sat down the final 16 batters he faced in order.
The AirHogs were silenced offensively with just four base hits on the evening. Alex Nunez went 2-for-4, extending his hitting streak to four games. Madison Carter went 1-for-3 with a double.
Grand Prairie moved its record to 37-51 on the season. They will head to Amarillo for their final road trip of the season, starting a four-game set with the Amarillo Sox Thursday at 7:05 p.m.
