Birds Homeruns Continue to Fly in Sioux Falls, AirHogs fall 12-1

By Tim Costello

The AirHogs faced a former Big Leaguer in Taylor Hill tonight and it showed. Hill tossed six scoreless innings in a game the AirHogs would eventually lose 12-1.

The Canaries struck first thanks to a second inning solo homer off the bat of Alay Lago. They would then add a run in the third off a Burt Reynolds RBI double.

The offense continued to flow for Sioux Falls when Mitch Glasser hit a 3-run homerun in the fourth. Ballew would toss a scoreless 5th but he allowed 5 earned runs in his five innings of work.

The bullpen didn’t offer much relief today. Stewart Ijames worked two innings allowing four runs. Stephen Haviar pitched the 8th inning, allowing a three run homerun to Alay Lago, his second long ball of the night.

For the AirHogs offense Javion Randle stayed hot with 3 hits and an RBI but other than that there was very little to enjoy as an AirHogs fan tonight.

The AirHogs and Canaries are back at it again tomorrow night at 7:05 pm. The AirHogs are sending RHP Taylor Wright to the mound.
