AirHogs Prep For Laredo After Concluding Wichita Series

WICHITA, Kansas - The AirHogs dropped their series finale 16-0 in Wichita on Sunday. The team opens a 4-game set in Laredo starting tomorrow at 7:05.

David Wayne Russo surrendered 4 runs on 8 hits over 5 innings before turning the ball over to Cody Culp, Tyler Ihrig and Jack Karraker. The loss was the 6th of the season for Russo.

The Wingnuts were led by Matt Chavez, who finished with 5 hits, including 2 home runs, and 5 RBIs. Wichita finished with 23 hits and got a strong start from Alex Boshers, who went 7 scoreless to anchor the first shutout of the season for the Wichita staff. The win was the 12th of the season for the righty. 

Kenny Peoples-Walls finished on base twice for the AirHogs. He has hit safely in 12 of the last 13.

The AirHogs (33-59) open a 4-game set at Laredo (51-41) on Monday at 7:05. The series will be the final on the road for the team this season.
