GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas– The Texas AirHogs are proud to announce the signing of infielder Correlle Prime.
A native of Bradenton, Florida, Prime joined the AirHogs for their current trip in Sioux City vs. the Explorers. The first baseman debuted in Friday's series opener in Sioux City.
An alum of Manatee High in Bradenton, Prime was a 12th round draft selection of the Colorado Rockies in 2012. He played for Rockies affiliates in Grand Junction, Asheville, and Modesto before joining Double-A Hartford in 2016-17. In 2018, Prime joined the Rangers organization and began the season with their Double-A affiliate in Frisco. He has also played in the Australian Baseball League with the Perth Heat.
A career .264 hitter, Prime has hit 56 professional home runs and racked up 294 career RBIs. He hit .272 during the 2017 season with eight homers and 29 RBIs in Hartford.
