5 Reasons to be Excited About the 2016 Texas AirHogs Season

03/24/2016 1:03 PM -

1. James Frisbie. The new AirHogs manager comes to town with a pedigree of success. In 2015 he led the Rockford Aviators of the Frontier League to a playoff berth and was named manager of the West Division All-Star team in Schaumburg, Illinois.

2. Jeff Russell. The former two-time MLB All-Star and Texas Ranger Hall of Fame member will once again serve as the AirHogs Pitching Coach this season.

3. New Team; New Talent. With the combination of the AirHogs and Thunderheads, the new coaching staff has brought in a lot of new, exciting talent to take the field this season.

4. Split Home Schedule. We know that some are unhappy with this arrangement, but this gives the AirHogs two avid fanbases to cheer them on as they try and gain a postseason berth this season.

5. Promotions! We have a lot of exciting promotions scheduled for ya’ll this year, including: Star Wars Night, a Craft Brewery Night, and a Marines 100th Year Anniversary Celebration just to name a few. From drones to bounce houses, we’ll have it all this season!

BONUS: We have an outfielder named Burt Reynolds. No, seriously. How cool is that!?
