Are you looking to gain valuable career experience in the professional sports industry? We want you! The Texas AirHogs Internship Program is open to any qualified applicant who is currently a college student, graduate or post-graduate student and is pursuing a career in professional sports.

2016 Game Day Internship Opportunities:

- Game Day Staff (promotions and in-game entertainment)

- Box office and ticketing

- Stadium Operations

- Broadcasting

Compensation: Paid per game

Basic Requirements and Functions

Report time is two (2) hours before game time. Each intern will work through the end of the game and stay up to an hour after, as needed. Must be able to commit to a minimum 20 of 25 home games at the Ball Park in Grand Prairie.

Below are essential functions for each internship opportunity:

Game Day Staff

      o Assist with in-game events and promotions

      o On-field set up of in-game entertainment

      o Coordinating Field of Dreams and birthday parties

      o Assisting with management of sponsorship logo in game day scripts and video board signage

      o Surveying fans for organizational data

      o Taking photos of fans for social media and in-game video board

Box Office/Ticketing

      o Selling AirHogs and processing game day tickets

      o Handing out Dick’s Sporting Good’s Coupons

      o Assist in the ticket support for season ticket services, group ticket packages, ticket sales, and tourism areas

      o Strong understanding of AirHogs ticketing information and ability to articulate information in person and call center

      o Post-game fan salute at front gates

Stadium Operations

      o Distribution of nightly promotional/giveaway items

      o Set up and break down of stadium events

      o Game day set up

      o Assist with concession needs

      o Keep stadium clean and orderly

Summary

Seeking broadcast media assistant to support and supplement efforts of broadcast and sports media for the 2016 season. Qualified candidate should possess good writing skills, love of the game, a sense of humor and a great work ethic.

Basic Requirements and Functions

Report time is two (2) hours before game time. Each intern will work through the end of the game and stay up to an hour after, as needed. Must be able to commit to a minimum 20 of 25 home games at the Ball Park in Grand Prairie.

Candidate should expect the following duties:

• Assisting in the creation and printing of statistics packets before each home game for coaches/press box

• Assisting lead broadcaster with game notes/game research

• Posting game and broadcast information to the AirHogs website and social media pages

• Provide game updates for home games via Twitter/Facebook/Instagram

• Some on-air time possible (TBD by lead broadcaster)

• Other duties as assigned by lead broadcaster and members of the front office
