Weaver, 34, is a graduate of University of Indianapolis with a communications degree, where he also pitched for the Greyhounds for two years. The AirHogs GM resides in Grand Prairie with his wife and daughter.
Weaver served as third base coach for the AirHogs from 2011-2013 and 2015. During his time as third base coach, the AirHogs became American Association League champions and earned two South Division titles. In 2014, Weaver served as manager with the Fort Worth Cats. Since 2010, Weaver has been head coach of the Arlington Baptist Patriots. In 2016, Weaver served as league commissioner of the Great Southwest Collegiate League, a wooden-bat league which included four teams from the Dallas-Fort Worth area and four from Amarillo. Under his guidance as league commissioner, the Fort Worth Whitetails team of the DFW league went on to play in the NBC World Series.
