The AirHogs rolled out the heavy Chinese lineup again today but unfortunately spotty defense caused the team to lose 7-2.

The AirHogs actually scored first, using a 2 out RBI double gem Chen Junpeng to grab an early 1-0 lead.

The lead would not last long however as the defensive struggles started in the first. With a runner on first and one out the catcher for the T-Bones Roy Morales hit a sharp group all  at Luo JinJun that should’ve been an inning ending double play. Instead JinJun booted it allowing the inning to continue. Chris Collabello singles the tying run home before Casey Gillespie homered off the top of Lu Yuheng’s glove, giving KC a 4-1 lead.

The score would stay 4-1 into the 5th where Mi Jiahong took over for Zhang Tao. With 2 on and two out it looked like Jiahong would escape a jam, inducing a lazy fly ball in foul territory. However Lu Yuheng, now in left, over ran the ball allowing it to fall safely. Later in the same at bat right fielder Tyler Marnicov homered putting the Tbones up 7-1.

The AirHogs used a leadoff ninth inning single and a 2 out RBI single from Yang Jin to add their final run of the night. Tyler Matzek stayed hot striking out two in his inning of work.

The AirHogs and T-bones are back at it tomorrow,. First pitch tomorrow is scheduled for 7:05. The AirHogs are going with RHP Zech Lemond and the Kansas City T-Bones are TBD.
