Zhang Tao gave the AirHogs his best performance of the season as he one hit the Lincoln SaltDogs en route to a 3-1 win.

Zhang Tao was phenomenal in his 7 innings of one hit baseball for the AirHogs striking out 9 while only allowing a hit by pitch.  He escaped a first inning jam after two runners reached on errors and afterwards he would quickly settle in.

The Hogs offense came out inspired to begin the game as they scored all three of their runs with two outs in the first inning.  After one of the hottest hitters in the American Association, Chen Junpeng, roped a 2-out double, Na Chuang delivered an RBI single.  Next, Stewart Ijames would triple in Chuang and would be followed by Matt Dean who then singled himself.

That would be plenty for Zhang Tao as he took a no hitter into the 7th inning before a Nick Schulz single broke up his bid.  Carlos Contreras would enter the game in the 8th inning and allow only his second run as an AirHog on a wild pitch scoring Daniel Herrera making it 3-1.

Brett Eibner would enter the game in the 9th and get the save for the AirHogs as he went three up three down striking out 2.

The AirHogs will hit the road tonight as they head to Sioux Falls for a 3 game set against the Canaries, first pitch at 7:05.
